Autumn details

Image
Someone wise said the devil is in the details. So I took my camera and shot some of my fall favourites. These I use to complete my fall looks. First up my fave mini palette by Huda Beauty. The warm obsessions. It's as small as my palm and fits right into any handbag. The palette enables for any fall look- from smoky to peachy nude. The lipstick is by essence "this is the nude lipstick".  A beautiful mauve matte shade which is a perfect nude for my lips. And lastly the STUNNING liquid glitter from Catrice cosmetics. A orange red to take any day look to night.  Essence cosmetics "g'day Sidney" eyeshadow palette. This palette has such beautiful metallic shimmers. The blue's are stunning, and capture the light perfectly.  My staple everyday handbag the last weeks. A perfect bag for everyday use. The colouring fits right into my colourpalette. And the silouette feels classic- as something I'd wear for years.  Of course I had to get the w

I'm currently in the train back home again. I spent the weekend in Turku at my dear friend. It was a great weekend. I can't believe it's already the end of October. I know it's cheesy but time goes so fast. But I think this fall is going SUPER fast. Like I can't keep up. I've been hustling and really tried my all in my singing studies. I did my first examination in singing in the beginning of October. And it went great! I'm happy with my achievements and the feedback I got was good and constructive. I wore a gown- which is a new thing for me. I didn't go to prom, which in Finland is  in high school. And let me tell you I felt like a princess. And I think it got me feeling powerful which took the worst jitters away being on stage. It's wonders what a dress or actually clothes can do with your confidence. I have to tell you I'm already exited for my next performance.  Speaking of performances- I saw the Metropolitan Opera's  Turandot on Fi

So a few weeks ago I realised that I'm not that personal on the blog. Sure I write about my fashion/makeup preferences etc. But you who's reading this and doesn't know me IRL probably don't know that much about me....  Well I asked you on IG if you'd want to see more about my day to day life and singing studies and the majority of you replied yes. So here I am starting a new series on the blog. Here and there I will make an additional post- not about fashion or usual vegonista content. But about me- my life a old school blog- you know like the 2000s movies haha. So first let's start with the basics. Who am I?  Here's some quick facts about me.  1. My name is Emma I'm in my 20's 2. I'm a practical nurse and work at a doctor's clinic 3. Music is my passion, I'm currently studying classical singing. I also play the piano, guitar, violin etc. But currently I'm concentrating on my singing.  4. As a person I'd describe  myself a

My colour palette for autumn

Image
Usually for every season I scour Pinterest for inspo- picking my fave styles and colour palette. So I have done this autumn. But this time around I decided to look at my own photo library. So I picked the one's I felt drawn to. I had in mind the pieces I like wearing. After that I did collages of the pictures. And voilà here's my colour palette.  My favourite colours, warm earthy tones and soft pinks. And weirdly these colours go well together. The warmth and the cool undertones of the pink compliment each other. I also noticed that I prefer to wear these tones. And I actually have many pieces in my wardrobe that are in this colour palette. I think this will be a perfect referents picture for future outfits.   In this collage I really dove into the warm orange and beige. It also sparked an idea- outfit based on an eyeshadow palette!?(a future series..?)    So based on these collages i put together two outfits.  First up soft pink and burgundy mixed with br

Soooo the other day I was casually strolling in Tokmanni for the usual necessities. And I stopped at the essence cosmetics stand (what a shocker). I stood there swatching and when I was just about to leave something caught my eye.... I turned around, a new big makeup stand... "oh well here we go another non cruelty free brand probably got a new big stand" SO I THOUGHT.  It.was.CATRICE COSMETICS. I ran to the stand (like a crazy person) and there I was for probably a hour just swatching. I've seen on Youtube loads of reviews on the brand and I got intrigued. So the brand is cruelty free and they've got VEGAN PRODUCTS. a n d they label every vegan product CLEARLY !!!YAY! The brand also fairly in-expensive so natuarly I HAD to buy everything haha! (help me I have a problem with makeup)Lets get in to the stuff i got!  So first up the beautiful Ametist palette. A beautiful eyeshadow palette with neutrals and a pop of purple and blue. The formula on the glitters are
