Makeup through the decades 50s-90's

Image
Last time it was style through the decades, and I had so much fun so why not do makeup also! I asked you on Instagram if you’d like me to do makeup and 100% of you said YES. And I was pumped! So I started my research on the different makeup styles. I looked at ad’s popstars and most of my inspo was from pop culture (mostly American). Just to clarify in the span of 10 years a lot of trends comes and goes, the looks I chose was really just based on popularity. I tried to create the most “iconic” looks. So let’s just dive in the different styles!! First up the 50’s, femininity hourglass silhouette and polished makeup. Brows were arched and neat. The red lips were a staple, no nude lips here! And a winged liner is a must. Super glamourous and feminine. The 60’s with the cut crease and big twiggy eyes. As I portrayed the mod style in the outfits I thought why not channel my inner twiggy cut crease look. But this look was sure not a Twiggy exclusive look. This particula

Garden party for one

It's been a LOT of makeup lately on the blog... Think it might be that my outfits lately have been either sweatpants and an old tee or jeans and hoodie. But the weather has got me digging up my summer clothes. And why not dress up for enjoying coffee and a book at the backyard? So here's my garden party for one look. Since we don't have flowers at our concrete garden I decided to BE the flowers haha!

3 looks 1 palette| Naked Smoky

Per request here’s 3 looks 1 palette with Urban Decays Naked Smoky.   I’m not usually the one to grab the smoky tones to make a look. So this definitely challenged me, but it was fun! I actually learned that my eyes can “carry” smoky eyes! You can watch my IGTV here!   Disclaimer, this palette is not vegan. I purchased this before my vegan journey. Hope to inspire you to use your old palettes!

During this "lockdown" I've spent a lot of time at our house's mini garden. Reading fashion magazines, doing mini exersices and just enjoyed the sun.

Urba decay Naked 3 palette | 3 looks one palette

I was going through my makeup collection the other day. And I realised that there aren't many videos/blogposts on "old" palettes. Usually when a new palette hit the market- all the bloggers do a first impressions. But after that I rarely see any looks on them again. I bought Urban Decay Naked 3 palette ages ago. And sure I've used it plenty, but sometimes I struggle to create a look. Youtuber Kelly Gooch does a 3 looks one palette on "older" palettes. And I thought why don't I do the same?
