Creamy Camel

Image
Sometimes all you need to spice up an outfit is a pair of fun tights. As you can see in this look. Lately I’ve been all about colour matching and monochromatic looks. Here I’ve stuck with my fave colours a creamy camel. The satin skirt has been a staple on the holidays, it dresses up any lazy outfit. Even if I wear a hoodie and the skirt the look seems put together. The bag is my cute little Michael Kors backpack, and it just came to me- hey I can use this also as a cross bag!? The tights are from Monki and I think they are a fun way to tie the look together. Not going to lie I’ve had a bit of trouble incorporating them in looks. But I think they work best in basic outfits as a pick me up. Sometimes the most basic looks can easily be spiced up with tights or accessories. Angelic neutrals

  Since it’s the roaring 20’s again I’ve been inspired by the 20’s. I’ve been scrolling on Pinterest and fell down a rabbit hole of 20’s style and pictures. So I tried to make a modern version of a classic 20’s foe bob.   So I tamed my very messy hair in a very loose “birds nest” looking twist, clipped it in with a claw- made sure it was loose enough to look as a short bob. To top it off I added a cute headband. And tadaaah- my modern twist on a 20’s hairstyle. Definitely a hairstyle I will wear! Makeup is neutral, a dot of concealer and mascara. I blotted my lips lightly with my lipstick and applied some of it on the cheeks. For the outfit I kept it simple and chic, sometimes you need your look to breath. And this time I let the hairdo shine and dressed in winter neutrals. Of course I wore the long puffer (have been wearing it the whole week). I like the look it’s simple, chic yet fun with the hair. Long puffer

So I picked up the latest Elle magazine for fashion inspiration. And they had a piece on long puffer jackets. And I thought- wait a minute I think my mom had one of these!! So there I went with determination digging in my mom’s clothes. AHA and I found it. So I looked at it… planned around it. What would work with a long puffer? And I released of course – A long skirt and funky tights with my sneakers. And voila there it is, the comfy and cool outfit. I paired the puffer with my dear Marimekko bag. Some would say matching snake print and leo is a big no no. But I say rules are meant to be broken, I think animal print mitch matching is going to be a thing! I took my fave sneakers from Nike and just because I wore orange tights to match them. I think I’ll steal this jacket from mom for this coming late winter. You never know what you might find in your mom’s closet, I suggest you to dig around. Knit; Kappahl Skirt; Lindex Tights; Lindex Shoes; Nike Bag;

New beginnings | Vegonista unplugged

 Hi vegobabes happy 2020! Hope you had a good beginning of the new year. I've been at work and enjoying walks. I don't usually make new year’s resolutions, simply for the reason I have a habit of breaking them. I think the thought of "re-inventing" itself is a near impossible task and also kind of toxic. However, I like to set goals- I feel they are easier to work towards. I thought of the things I need to work on. I'd like to walk more- granted I walk daily to work but taking longer walks. As I do work a "desk" job and don't go outside that much I think fresh air would do wonders for my energy (i hope). I would also like to share more of my music, but I don't know yet how. Should I start a separate blog for that or an Instagram? I know that my friends and I will continue with season 2 of Save as draft podcast. And with that will come more music.   What I know for sure that I want to do- is to be more active on vegonista Instagram and post mo
