GLADA VAPPEN! HYVÄÄ VAPPUA! HAPPY WALPURGIS NIGHT! If you're English speaker and not from the Nordic countries, you must think- What is Vappen? Well, we celebrate Walpurgis night. Long time ago it was celebrated for the Saint Walpurgis. However, as Halloween and many other traditions. Vappen is celebrated for spring, students and a good excuse to eat yummy food and celebrate that the days are longer.  Usually I spend my Vappen outside, with friends . However, due to the time we live in. I'm spending it safely home. On vappen usually we dress up, use our caps that we get after graduating high school. Soooooo.... I did that even though I'm spending Vappen at home. It felt wonderful- like I'm a normal functioning human again! And if you're looking at the pictures going- why does she have to different caps?? Well, I did a double education. I graduated from high school and vocational high school as a practical nurse. The cap without the tass

How to not get bored| Vegonista unplugged

We live in weird times right now, feels like everything is cancelled. A while back I had the conversation with my friends about how difficult being in lockdown/quarantine is. The main issue we talked about was being bored. Frankly I don’t ever feel bored, I just always have something to do. Maybe it’s an only child thing, I’ve been a lot on my own growing up. With a single mom I always where with her to meetings etc. So I’m used to keeping myself busy. So I thought why not comply a list full of things to do in this weird times. Make yummy vegan focaccia! I usually don’t enjoy cooking or baking. But in the weekends I usually bake focaccia, It’s easy to make and takes only about 20-30 min to make! Watch Opera, Musicals or follow along a Museum tour online. Currently many of these places are closed and many of them offer online content. For example, The Metropolitan opera in New York has been streaming a new opera every day. As a classical singer student

A mini tutorial on a 60's inspired blue cut crease

Hi vegobabes! I really felt like playing in makeup and filmed a short makeup tutorial. I always loved watching these kind of videos, they just chill me out. I've saved loads of 60's makeup looks on my Pinterest- especially the cut crease looks. It gives such a nice big round look to the eyes. Tough "snatched" cat eyes are now more popular, it's always fun to mix it up! I did a modern version of the classic 60's look. Glossy natural skin with a blotted lip. This is definitely an easy take on the look. Not as polished, a 15-20 min quick look :) You can watch the video here

Style through the decades

What's more fun than playing dress up? I asked You on Instagram what would you rather see, my spring looks or style evolution. And to my surprise the majority voted for style evolution! I was beyond exited. I immediately started doing research on old magazines. I went   through my clothes and started to put together outfits. I ended up with the decades 50-90's. Of course a decade has LOADS of different styles (ex- 90's with grudge and hip hop), I picked the ones I'd probably wear. So here we go! Oh the 50's... Milkshakes and bell dresses... I went with skinny pants, sandals and a scarf tied around the neck. The 50's had loads of different silhouettes. But the main thing was an extenuated waist with the classic hour glass figure. With style Icons such as Marilyn Monroe.   The 60's hemlines rose up- miniskirts, the hourglass was shattered and forgotten. More square and legs. The 60's had different styles, but most of all was it the

Since I haven't been wearing makeup lately (for obvious reasons), I've truly longed for a good makeup session.  I have however, watched loads of makeup videos. And gotten inspired by Jkissas style of whimsical makeup. And since it's spring and soon Easter (yay) I created a colourful look. And I must say this will not be the last look in this style. Here's a pictorial of the look!  First I used my beloved Jeffree Star concealer. And applied on the wet base Gum drop from JSC Jawbreaker palette.  Next the shade F*ck after that Cute. I didn't blend, I stamped the colour with a precise blending brush.  Then I took my Huda Beaty Neon palette. Applied the stunning matte bright neon on the inner crease. Picked up with my finger the metallic neon. And after that I used Snack from JSC on the lid.   To deepen the eye I dotted with my ring finger the colour Bite Me from Jawbreaker on the
